Nike celebrate three decades of Air Force 1

Is it pronounced Nike or Nike-eee? Being a Brit, I’ve always called it “Nike” minus the eee bit. But I keep getting corrected by those who seem to know better than me. It’s a question to which I probs should have got a definitive answer when I was at the Air Force 1 30th Anniversary at Ambush Gallery in Sydney on Tuesday night. But I was too busy filling my face with nibbles. Same old story. Food over knowledge.

Anyhoo, as well as celebrating three decades of Air Force 1, Nike/Nike-eee were also launching a new symbol of force – the Nike Lunar Force 1. The night featured a Nike Air Force Sneaker Exhibition and musical entertainment from producer Jonti. Guests were also among the first to view the latest Nike campaign which forms part of a global celebration of the past 30 years of Air Force 1 and the launch of the new Lunar Force 1 range – The Ones.

Here are a few photos.
