Dine like they do on Game of Thrones

The elevator pitch for Game of Thrones surely wouldn’t appeal. “Erm, it’s a fantasy show set in a mythical middle ages with sword-fighting and a bit of a supernatural element.” Sounds like Nerd City, right? Well, all you gotta do is add Machiavellian political intrigue, wonderfully written characters and a whole lot of boobies and suddenly you’ve got yourself one of the best shows of the last few years.

To celebrate the release of the second season on Blu-ray, DVD and for Digital Download, and as a literal appetite-whetter for the upcoming new series, Sydneysiders can once more dine just like they do in the city of Qarth. With his Game of Thrones-inspired menu selling out almost instantly last year, Head Chef and Owner of Gastro Park, Grant King, returns this year with a brand new 5-course themed menu inspired by Season Two of HBO’s award-winning television series.

Introducing a main course that pays homage to the biggest battle in the war of the five kings, the Battle of the Blackwater, Grant King’s new menu is set to be as dramatic and visually striking as the second series of the epic fantasy saga. You can get your laughing gear round this fine grub from Thursday 14 March 2013 to Thursday 25 April at Gastro Park, 5-9 Roslyn Street, Potts Point, Sydney. It’ll set you back $100 per person with a minimum of four people per booking. This shit is gonna be more popular than that lesbian scene in season one, so booking is essential. If you’re gonna be in Sydney, then give Gastro Park a bell on 02 8068 1017 and hook yourself up with a table.

Game of Thrones: The Complete Second Season is available on Blu-ray, DVD and download.
