Boston stays strong, never forgets

Nearly two months after the Boston Marathon bombings, the memorial near the site of the blasts continues to expand. Wellwishers, mourners, vistors and locals place flowers, signs, running shoes and teddy bears to the collection at Copley Square every day.

At some point in the near future, the city will need to remove the makeshift memorial. Archivists are trying to determine what to do with all the items and there are currently talks in place to create a permanent memorial. For now though, the outpouring of love grows. We visited the site and found it to be deeply touching. Below are some photographs. Click on the thumbnails to open a gallery.
