Vydamo is becoming human

vydamo.48 PMJust last week Vydamo released his debut album entitled ‘Becoming Human’, and somethingyousaid.com got to sample snippets of it at the launch inside the Australian Museum, in Sydney. Accompanied by a live band, the solo project of Art Vs. Science’s Jim Finn played to an audience of industry peoples, well-wishers and dinosaur bones (not a euphemism).

The party, put on by Sony, showered us in some tasty champagne as Jim Finn showered us in tunes. I thought it would take some appearances on The X-Factory and consequent label signage before I could truthfully say I’d been drinking Sony’s money, but luckily Vydamo had me covered.

The music itself was clean-cut adult-pop, full of multilayered harmonies and happy vibes. The bubbly music matched the bubbly drinks and both had Finn’s supporters dancing away. ‘Becoming Human’ is a far cry from previous Art Vs. Science releases, as Finn steps out on his own and in a new direction. Vydamo has its charm, and by the high-profile turnout of radio and TV personalities, he’s undoubtedly tipped for future success.

You can now get your hot little hands on the album ‘Becoming Human’ via iTunes or good old fashioned record stores. Keep up to date with Vydamo on Facebook and have a listen below:
