Music: Caitlin Rose is Waitin’

We love a bit of Caitlin Rose, here at, so we’re pretty pumped for some sweet new sounds from her. The rollicking done-you-wrong single Waitin’ is released on 16th September and lands at the culmination of a UK tour. The track, with sweet soul revue backing vocals, is lifted from her exceptional second album The Stand In, which was described by Uncut Magazine as, “one of the first truly great Americana albums of 2013” and given an impressive 9/10. High praise indeed.

Plaudits such as this aren’t new to Rose though. Her first record also had critics practically wetting themselves. It racked up Albums of the Week plaudits from The Sunday Times, The Independent, Independent on Sunday and Evening Standard, and received Albums of the Year placings from Rough Trade Shops (#4), The Sunday Times (#3 Best Newcomer), Time Magazine (#7) and The Sun (#11).

Have a listen to Waitin’ below and see what all the fuss is about.
