Music: Southern, Where The Wild Are

Southern interview

Belfast-born, Liverpool-based brother and sister band Southern are set to unleash their new EP, ‘Where The Wild Are’ this April. Following their previous, eponymous release, this offering is another collection of songs that veer from juggernaut-sized blues-kissed rock’n’roll to opaque pop-noir. We grabbed a quick couple of minutes with Thom from the band to find out more:

Southern are Thom Southern (guitar, vocals), Lucy Southern (guitar, vocals) and Eoghan Clifford (drums).

Where The Wild Are is our new EP released with two B-Sides on the 14th of April!

We spend too much time getting cabin fever in our flat in Liverpool when we’re not working.

Belfast is great craic.

It might surprise people to learn that this is the best job ever!

In the future we will play in a town near you and you better be there, cheers.

Keep up with the duo by following the Southern Facebook Page and catch them at the following UK venues, not to mention The Great Escape and Secret Garden Party festivals.:

1st April – London, The Social
10th April – Limelight, Belfast w/The Strypes

2nd May – Liverpool, Leaf (Liverpool Sound City)
3rd May – Live At Leeds
8th May – Brighton, The Great Escape
26th July – Secret Garden Party
9th August – Newquay, Boardmasters
