Europa Report is a unique blend of documentary, alternative history and science fiction thriller. It follows a contemporary mission to Jupiter’s moon Europa to investigate the possible existence of alien life within our solar system. The found footage film is directed by Sebastián Cordero, and stars Christian Camargo, Anamaria Marinca and Michael Nyqvist.

In the film, a disastrous technical nightmare means that all communications with Earth mission control are lost. Bummer, right? Then follows a series of deadly crises, yet the crew still continues their mission to Europa. When there, they encounter a baffling mystery. It’s well worth a watch.
