Getting to Know Abbey Ashton
Sydney-based model Abbey Ashton is currently across the world in London. She took some time off from YouTubing compilations of goats to tell us about herself:
I am from a small town in Tasmania. No, I don’t have a scar on my neck and yes, I have all of my teeth.
Modelling is something I’m very lucky to have in my life! Although it’s not an ideal lifestyle, I feel so lucky to have such a great opportunity.
Being able to travel and see the world on my own at 18-years-old was the best thing that ever happened to me.
Aside from modelling I watch stupid YouTube videos, documentaries or, when I can be bothered leaving my apartment, I will see friends. Which usually involves the beach or some weird unplanned adventure that involves me not making it home for days on end.
Sydney is my second home! Moving to Sydney was the best thing I ever did.
I have met so many amazing people and have made so many friends that I know I will have for the rest of my life.
London is loud! My bedroom window is literally on top on a train line so every night it’s the 
great debate between me and my room-mate on whether we should put up with the noise all night or suffocate in each other’s stale air. Yum yum.
I spend too much time YouTubing compilations of goats, dogs and cats doing stupid things. It’s just sooo funny and really cute but it usually ends up in me missing my dogs even more.
It might surprise people to learn that my entire wardrobe is black. I have no sense of style, so I just figured that if I’m wearing black-on-black nothing can go too disastrous. But it’s got a little out of hand now. If I go to the beach or park I’m always wearing black and look slightly out of place.
In the future, I plan on studying science. Hopefully I will be able to start next year. Well, once I get through all the bridging courses.
Yes, I’m a high school dropout. Stay in school kids!
