Getting To Know The Districts

the districts

Last weekend, Philadelphia based band The Districts wowed crowds at Reading and Leeds Festival. In October they will release a limited edition vinyl EP of their live session with Huw Stephens at the BBC’s legendary Maida Vale studios. We found out a little more about them. Here they are, in their own words:

The Districts are Tuna lord, squidd, pickles cass and prawn.

Our upcoming EP is a collection of three songs off of our self-released LP “Telephone” and two new songs.

We’re currently listening to James Brown at Bloomsbury lanes.

Philadelphia is a beautifully dirty place we live in.

We spend too much time rehearsing and writing down in the swamp lands.

It might surprise people to learn that Dogmano catface is the band’s creator, muse, savior, will to love, live, breathe, etc..

In the future we plan to keep writing music and keep progressing as artists.

The Districts play at The Lexington in London tonight and then move on to the End of the Road festival at the weekend. After which, they head to Electric Picnic in Ireland and then back to the US for a full-on tour. See all tour dates and get more details on Facebook.
