Video Premiere: Opia – Signs

If you’re suffering the midweek blues, then allow us to deliver some aural/visual pleasure in the form of an exclusive video Premiere from Perth band Opia. Signs is the second single from the trio’s forthcoming debut album and is quite the anthem. With those delay-soaked guitars, a powerhouse rhythm section and the upper-register of singer Mike Bok, the song soars from the start and builds to an utterly intense denouement. It’s one of those singalong-at-the-top-of-your-voice-while-dancing-round-your-room-like-a-maniac kind of tunes.

Following on from their debut single One Minute Ago, Signs certainly shows the band’s evolution, eclecticism and growth. The song was recorded and engineered at Electric City Studios in North Fremantle by Adam Round, mixed and mastered by legend Forrester Savell, and co-produced by Matt O’Connor and Lance Robinson.

We can’t wait to hear the first album from these chaps. You can, and probably should, keep up to date with the band on Facebook.

Signs will be released 20th February 2015. An album will follow later in the year.
