Premiere: Run Rabbit Run, Wasted in the Sun

We’re super excited to kick-start your week by Premiering the excellent new video from Melbourne-based folk-rock five-piece, Run Rabbit Run.

This new single, Wasted in the Sun, is an alt-country, hooky and melodic offering, which rolls along infectiously with delicious three-part harmonies, airy mandolin and thumping double bass.

Meanwhile, its video, which we are calling “Run, Beardy Man, Run” is a fun accompaniment to the tune. It is the creation of lead guitarist and co-frontman, Michael Roberts. The thinking behind the clip was to create something that complimented the single’s lightness. “I wanted this video to be less story-driven [than the clip for the previous single], and more visually appealing,” he explains. “I rear-projected landscape shots onto a white screen as a background to create an interesting effect against the foreground, like moving in fast-motion. We used smoke machines, branches, and coloured stage lights in certain parts for a psychedelic vibe.”

The track was recorded at ScreamLouder Studios with Peter ‘Reggie’ Bowman, and mastered by renowned engineer, Don Bartley. It will be released 6th March 2015, so mark that date in your diary.

You should totally keep up to date with the band on Facebook.
