Video Premiere: The Plaidians, The Follower

Today we are excited to premiere the new video from Melbourne-based songwriters Gary Thackrah and Justin Penkethman, better known as The Plaidians.

The Follower is the first single to be lifted from their debut album, which is set to land early next year. Dealing with feelings of isolation and of desire being just out of reach, the song demonstrates how the duo are able to combine acoustic and electronic sounds in an interesting and melodic fashion, while meshing elements of rock, pop and electronica.

“The Follower is a laid-back track that we really enjoyed recording and layering with synths and strings,” they told us. “We wanted it to sound reflective and have a real depth to it, and we’re real happy with how it turned out.”
