Moonlight Cinema returns!

Hey Australia! Summer is drawing near! How do we know? Well, because the ever-excellent Moonlight Cinema is just around the corner. They’ve just announced their programme for January/December and it is a winner. If you don’t want to head along to watch one of the following movies under the stars with some nice food and a few drinks, then there is something wrong with you. Seriously, go to the doctor.

Across Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide from 03 Dec, Perth from 05 Dec, and Brisbane from 16 Dec, you can catch some of the best new releases along with some classics, while enjoying a delicious menu from the LA-style food truck and a well-stocked bar. Or you can BYO. Oh and there are dog-friendly screenings as well.

Highlights include star-studded VIP red carpet advance screenings of Suffragette in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide, while Jennifer Lawrence fans (and let’s face it, who isn’t a Jennifer Lawrence fan?) are spoilt for choice with two massive showings of the final instalment of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 and an advanced screening of her latest Oscar contending film, Joy, both of which look FRICKIN AWESOME.

Another not-to-be-missed flick is The Revenant, which might finally see Leonardo DiCaprio win his first Oscar; as well as Sisters, the latest flick from comedy queens Amy Poehler and Tina Fey. This one looks hilarious. Oh, and Dirty Grandpa, a twisted spring break trip with Zac Efron and Robert De Niro.

Obviously you have to check out The Good Dinosaur from Disney Pixar and Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens. We predict that we will be watching it for about the 100th time by then. And still loving it. Love the Coopers stars John Goodman, Diane Keaton and Olivia Wilde and is a Christmas movie that we’re seeing a preview of next week, so we’ll let you know what it’s like soon,

And how about getting retro with Dirty Dancing, Top Gun and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off? Also, prepare your lungs for a motherflipping Grease Sing-a-long.

See you on the grass! For tickets and full programme info, head to the Moonlight Cinema website and keep up to date on Facebook.
