Heads up Sydneysiders! Here’s something cool going down tonight:

Earlier this month Oakley opened “Oakley In Residence: Sydney,” a creative space and pop-up skate destination that celebrates the culture of skateboarding as part of the brand’s global ONE OBSESSION campaign. Then this week, they announced ‘Film score Live’ featuring HWLS’, the Future Classic-signed, collaborative project of Ta-ku and Kit Pop.

‘Film Score Live’ will provide an interactive element to a traditional film screening as HWLS re-score an iconic skate film live. Taking place TONIGHT at the Oakley In Residence space, skate and music worlds will collide yet again to create this unique event that’s not to be missed.

film scorePerforming under the duo’s moniker, Kit Pop, renowned for his skills as a multifaceted producer, will be serving up layers of aural imagery to compliment the iconic GIRL Skateboards film, Yeah Right! Electronic aficionados and skaters alike will understand why HWLS is the perfect act for this project.

Hosted in one of the world’s most progressive skate communities, Oakley In Residence: Sydney is free and open to the public.

The venue is open every day from Tuesday to Sunday until 29th November.

As part of the one-night-only screening this evening, guests will also be treated to food by Nighthawk Diner and beverages from Budweiser, Bulleit Bourbon and Schweppes.

It all happens at 74 Commonwealth Street, Surry Hills tonight from 7pm. Spots are limited so get in quick; to RSVP for this event and for more information on everything else that’s happening, visit the Oakley In Residence: Sydney website.
