Getting to Know Vera Blue

Vera Blue

Up-n-coming artist Vera Blue is set to head out on her first ever headline shows to support the release of her debut EP, Fingertips, this month. We ask her to tell us more about herself:

I am Vera Blue.

Fingertips is the feature song from my new EP. This EP is all about love, heartbreak and moving forward. Co-written with artists Gosling and songwriter/producer Thom Mac and produced by Andy Mak, what we have created is something so special and real to me, which makes it quite challenging to perform, the fact that everything is so raw and extremely emotional. I am so excited to continue to make new music with them, keep pushing and hopefully even help people with my music internationally. I’d just love for people to be able to connect and truly feel something from my music. The fact that triple j have embraced me as an artists and are sharing my music with Australia is huge and I feel so blessed.

My upcoming tour will be so much fun! I can’t wait to be on the road with my band buddies, playing for people who genuinely enjoy my music and feel something from it, such an epic feeling.

I spend too much time thinking and not enough doing.

I’m currently listening to heaps of different stuff, classical piano tracks, crazy production trap and even some Kanye west but always some Joni Mitchell.

I’ve never gone a day without thinking about chocolate.

It might surprise people to learn that I’m not really that cool…. I’m a total goof.

In the future I hope to be touring the world, sharing my music and connecting with people through my music. I’m not doing this just for me, I’m doing it for them.
