Get Caught by the River Thames in August

If Something You Said were to curate a music festival, two of the first names on the line-up would be Super Furry Animals and Kate Tempest. So we were incredibly excited to learn that London’s remarkable new music, arts and nature festival, Caught by the River Thames, has done just that.

Almost exactly 15 years since releasing the magnificent, Rings Around The World, the Welsh wizards Super Furry Animals are sure to play a set which comprises old and new classics, while Kate Tempest is an artist you simply have to witness. We caught her earlier this year and it was honestly one of the most astonishing sets we’ve ever seen.

Bringing together a mega selection of bands and brewers, authors and artists, thinkers and drinkers, Caught by the River Thames will be a cocktail made up of music, literature and nature. And it’s gonna taste delish.

Over two days, it will bridge the previously un-spanned gap between psychedelic high-summer rock’n’roll concert and Springwatch. It will unearth archival London audio-history and provide poetry in the total serenity of a Victorian chapel; play host to jump-up party music from the four corners of the world.

Brought to you by the people who put on the likes of Port Eliot, Festival No 6, Field Day and the Good Life Experience, Caught by the River Thames is not to be missed. As well as conversations with Lauren Laverne and Chris Packham, you can also hear music from Gwenno, Temples, Low, Beth Orton, Darren Hayman and loads more.

Whether you buy a one-day ticket or a two-dayer, this is the summer festival not to be missed. We’ll see you there.
