Video Premiere: Vertigo, Get Away

We’re excited to today premiere the new video from Brisbane band, Vertigo. ‘Get Away’ is the atmospheric, up-tempo debut single from the four-piece and features stabbing guitar riffs, a dynamic bass-line, powerful drums and an intense vocal line.

The song’s lyrics, written as a group during one of the band’s first formal rehearsals, are a reflection of watching a friend hold onto a poisonous relationship. Referencing The Beach Boys and teenage love, the song is a plea to leave negative relationships behind.

For the uninitiated, here is Vertigo history lesson. The band is made up of mates Hamish Litster (vocals, saxophone), James Martoo (guitar), Hugh Duke-Freney (bass) and Nelson Partoredjo (drums). They have been turning heads this year playing living rooms, backyards and small Brisbane Fortitude Valley stages and are writing more tunes, which will hopefully be released in the near future.

You can keep up to date with the band on Facebook.

“Get Away” by VERTIGO is released 21st of December 2016.
