Funk the Format Festival is back!

Following their hugely successful debut last year, Funk the Format festival is back with a very serious bang on Saturday 17 June 2017, with a UK festival exclusive headliner – legendary drum and bass producer, Goldie with the Heritage Orchestra Ensemble, live!

Goldie is also definitely back this year with a highly anticipated brand new double album ‘The Journeyman’, his first in almost 20 years, being released the day before the festival. This follows on from his Record Store Day 12″ vinyl release of his classic “Inner City Life” remixed by Burial and himself. His recent live show with the Heritage Orchestra at Ronnie Scott’s in London went off big time so this is definitely not one to miss.

The festival is again being held in the beautiful tree-lined Hove Park near Brighton and has many more great acts performing across two stages. This includes soul singer Alice Russell, the legendary Notting Hill Carnival mainstay Norman Jay MBE, UK Hip Hop from The Nextmen, superstar lyricist Rodney P with DJ Skitz, Neon Saints Brass Band and Tru Thoughts head honcho Robert Luis plus many more great acts.

The festival also features some amazing local foods stalls with a vast range including Mexican, Indian, Italian and English plus Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten Free options. In addition to a range of craft beers, ciders and soft drinks.
