Acts not to miss at Lost Paradise

With tickets currently on their final release, this years Lost Paradise festival is set to be a huge one. There’s a whole host of supreme acts to suit many a mood. Here’s a list of our must sees for this extravagant NYE festival.
Of course we know that there’s stellar line up of top tier acts, but we’ve gone and delved into some artists and bands that may not have crossed your wavelength yet. Here’s our list of acts that should totally be checked out!

Apparat

Remember Breaking Bad? Yeah we do too. What a smasher! Well Apparat has a tune in one of the most memorable scenes in the whole six seasons. The one where [skip the rest of this paragraph if you are one of those lunatics that hasn’t bothered to see the show yet and you don’t want spoilers]…. everyone’s favourite chicken shop owner, Gus, dies thanks to Hector and his dinging bell.

Apparat is heading to Lost Paradise this year, and will be the perfect person to aid with that arvo hangover. The German producer will help you get over the hump, and smooth you heart with his infectious ambient beats, a must see!

Middle Kids

These guys have sure as heck made some waves since they started out in 2015. The trio from Sydney have had a string of epic openers for the likes of Ryan Adams and one of my all time faves – Cold War Kids. But their blend of Alt-Rock is second to none, and if you need a break from the wheels of steel, these are your gals/guys.

Late Nite Tough Guy

With a name like Late Nite Tough Guy, you’re pretty much set for a banger, right? Well this geezer blends house, disco, funk and everything in between. Set times haven’t been released yet… but I assume it’ll be when night is falling so get them glow sticks out.

Alex The Astronaut

I’m gonna straight up go out on a limb here and tell you that ATA is the artist I am most looking forward to watching at LP. She combines madly emotive music, stupidly relevant lyrics and infectious in between song banter. She’s been a Something You Said favourite for ages. Prepare yourself for some ballroom dancing in the crowd.

Sampa the Great

Lastly on our list of must sees, we have Sampa the Great, there’s a reason she’s called this, ‘cos she’s freakin’ badass. Amazing flow, sick backing band and owns the stage. Her mix of hip-hop and funk will really do your mind some good. Imagine the new age Lauren Hill and you wont be far off.

Extra info…

The theme for this year’s Lost Paradise fancy dress will be ‘Alter Ego’ giving festival-goers the chance to channel their alternative personality; whether that’s Ziggy Stardust, Dame Edna, The Harajuku Barbie or their own unique brand.

If that wasn’t enough to whet your whistle, Lost Paradise has announced that Bondi Beach institution Milky Lane will join the lovingly-curated line-up at their food hub Lost Village with an exclusive pop-up Breakfast Club. Running each morning ‘til midday, Milky Lane is set to cook up its cult American burgers, shakes and sides – think the likes of its Mac n Cheese Croquettes – and a host of exclusive Lost Paradise specials. See the full menu attached and images here.

Further to this, the festival has announced that Client Liaison will perform for the New Year countdown and is bringing its dancers Pretty Lovers who are sure to be a set to behold with their killer far-shun, supple moves and hair so fierce it’s probably safest not to look at it directly.

Tickets are now on final release with less than 10% left for both 3-Day and 4-Day options.
