Photo Gallery: Brick Lane graffiti
Somethingyousaid.com takes in the street-art (and tasty snacks) of London’s East-End:
At some point during 1999 when I lived in London, a friend introduced me to the “Beigel Shop” on Brick Lane and their amazingly light, deliciously chewy, bagel marvels that they produce and sell 24 hours a day. To this day, if I am in London and in the area, (sometimes even if I’m not) I will make a trip to buy some to eat there-and-then, hot from their ovens and a few for breakfast the next day.
In recent years I have also come to love the area for the spectacular and ever-changing graffiti on the walls of the roads surrounding Brick Lane. It is a living, breathing art gallery where famous and up and coming artists show off their skills. I recently spent an hour or so wandering around photographing everything that took my eye. You can see some of my photos below. I would heartily recommend visiting for a Bagel and a wander around while stuffing your face.
