Premiere: Western Front, Town to Town

If you’re looking for inspirational creatives, then may we introduce indigenous singer songwriter Graham Akhurst, who is the driving force behind Brisbane-based band Western Front. Graham, you see, wrote the bulk of his band’s songs, including the above single, Town to Town, in a hospital bed of the C Ward at the Brisbane Private Hospital in 2011, while being treated for cancer.

“The extended periods of isolation I went though show through in this song. Town to Town is a song about love, loss, and isolation.”

2012 brought about the recruitment of band members, and after an extensive rehearsal period of almost a year, they hit the live scene in 2013. Their anticipated debut album, “Crossfires” will be released late this year.
