Music Video: Ali Barter Community
Melbourne singer and songwriter Ali Barter has enchanted our hearts once again, releasing Community, the title track to coincide with her new EP. The music video, envisioned by creator Charlie Ford of Wildchild Pictures, famously known for his work on Courtnet Barnett’s Avant Gardener, was filmed at night in amongst the mesmerising lights of the Kings Cross, the result being a clip with a dream-like sequence shown through the use of slow motion visuals. The track’s rolling groove, created through the use of delayed electric guitar, bass riffs, and slow tempo which accompanies Barter’s her dusky vocals calls us to ‘surrender to everything that we use and abuse to feel a part of the world’.
Lost in amongst her music, we are called to follow Ali on her journey as she invites us on her tour, happening in early 2015. Ali began a residency at Melbourne’s Boney, supporting Husky on their national tour as well as Phosphorescent on the Aussie leg of his tour, and will be swinging like a pendulum into 2015, headlining a tour of her own.
