The Reef Revisited heads to North America

What happens when you take a group of musicians and surfers to the rugged surf coast and tough desert landscape of northern Western Australia? The melding of music and nature into an entrancing fusion of film and concert. This is exactly what happened in May 2012, thanks to Richard Tognetti.

Initially, an incredible collection of artists travelled together to the world heritage-listed Ningaloo Reef, where the outback desert meets a tropical, colourful festivity of a pretty coastal towns, coral and fish galore and plenty of surf.

the reef 2Here they created The Reef – connecting music, landscapes, water and surfing and eventually performing live to wow-ed audiences around Australia with a notable show at the Sydney Opera House.

Four years later, the Australian Chamber Orchestra presents The Reef (Revisited), and after its one highly acclaimed night in Sydney it heads on tour to make its North American debut.

The original project has been enhanced with new footage and changing up the original score with some brand new accompaniments.
