Interview: Getting to know REUNIØN
REUNIØN have just released a new single, called Before I Forget. We asked them to tell us about themselves:
We are… REUNIØN, we met working on some other records we’ve made with other artists and decided to lay down some of our own ideas in some downtime.
Before I Forget is… a song about hope and redemption and trying to remember the important things through the noise of everyday life
The last 12 months have been… challenging for everyone in different ways but we’ve tried to turn that space and extra time into as much creativity as possible. To have something to show for all the uncertainty and distance.
Home is… London, North and North West London to be specific. We both have moved around a fair bit though and found ourselves working in some different places and parts of the country and sometimes the globe – its always great to change the environment and get some different inspiration.
We’ve never… put an album out together or gone on tour together, but would love to when the world opens up again
It might surprise people to learn that… before I Forget is about Jon’s Dad and a condition he has, it’s sort of a letter to childhood memories and unfulfilled dreams in the hope of putting things right whilst we still can.
