To celebrate the worldwide Tolkien Week, Warner Bros has debuted the highly-anticipated theatrical trailer for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

The first in a trilogy of films adapted from J.R.R. Tolkien’s popular masterpiece is directed by Oscar-winner Peter Jackson. You might have heard of him as, a little while back, he directed three little films about some short dude and a ring.

The Tolkien Week celebrations encompass the 75th anniversary of the publication of The Hobbit novel on September 21 and the worldwide celebration of Hobbit Day (September 22), which is the shared birthday of Frodo and Bilbo Baggins.
