Jesse Willesee’s Haunted Hotel

Jesse Willesee of 700 Photos fame is back with another cool project, a five level interactive art party at Sydney’s Kings Cross Hotel. And get ready to be spooked cos it falls right on Halloween night, this Weds October 31.

The event combines live fashion photo shoots, interactive Halloween installations and live bands for a festival of spooky artparty chaos! Oh, and cheap booze too. So, head along to see fashion designers take over three of the floors of the five-level hotel, creating live shoots – using their wares to create scary fashion scenes in a spooky Halloween theme! Just like you could at Jesse’s Seven Hundred Photos interactive photography events, you can photograph the models live, so be sure to charge your cameras. Designers include Laurel and Hector, Estate of Mind, Well Hung and Jay Millionaires.

Not only can you shoot the fashion live, you’ll also be able to snap live bands in the interactive musical performance from hell! Featuring Buzz Kull, Blackbear (Boy & Bear) and The Vincent Gallows (Perth). On top of all this, Something You Said’s buddy Kirin J Callian will be hosting his mysterious “Bargain Basement” listening series in the ground floor Dive Bar where the audience will enter his wild world.

Still don’t think that’s enough to encourage you to head along? Okay, well the night will be capped off by the latest Mix Tape launch from Sydney record promoter HandGames at the hotel’s indie music venue, FBi Social, with performances from Teenage Mothers (Melbourne), Black Zeroes, Bang! Bang! Rock N Roll and Kill City Creeps.

Oh, and don’t forget to turn up dressed up in your spooky best, obvs. There will be prizes for the best outfits.
