Deap Vally tell sexy, dirty lies

We’ve been banging-on about female two-piece Deap Valley, who hail from sunny Los Angeles, for absolutely ages now, interviewing them a while back and reviewing their barnstorming gig in Brighton last week. So we thought it appropriate to, you know, actually give you an example of some of their music. So check out the dark, devious sounds of Lies.

The tune howls and growls through bluesy, garagey, rock n roll – scorching your eardrums with a shattering beat and shredding guitar. Already feeling the love from Radio 1, Triple J and, of course, Something You Said, Deap Valley’s track is sexy and dirty and angry and everything else good and unholy.

The band is currently touring Europe, including supporting Mumford and Sons, before shooting off to Australia to play at Oxford Art Factory in Sydney on Friday 5 April and Northcote Social Club in Melbourne on Saturday 6 April. After that they are Coachella. Check all the tour dates here.
