Storyology is heading to Sydney

storyology

Storyology 2014 is scribbling its way into Sydney’s well-loved suburb of Paddington this December and, for reasons of its pure brilliance we’re definitely all for inspiring you to pencil it in to your planner:

Storyology –
Gonna be ace, just know it.
Fun for you and me.

If, like me, your haiku structuring (and, quite frankly, subject-matter) could use a little bit of work, or you’re just looking to smash heads with some of the country’s and the world’s greatest journalists, screenwriters, bloggers, authors and other people who make a living and feed their soul by impressing others with their talent and downright wit, then Storyology is for you. The program, spanning from December 1-4, focuses on the aims to Innovate, Create and Inspire through a host of speakers and masterclasses, panels, keynotes and more for you to either turn your attention to or get involved in. Names such as Ben Smith (editor-in-chief of BuzzFeed) and Aron Pilhofer (executive editor of digital, The Guardian) will headline as well as other big players in other international spheres, and local names and the quiet achievers of the written world.

What invokes a sense of wonder is this need to figure out, and hear firsthand, what is going on in the minds of those behind world-renown published spaces. Also, what is going on locally and how you yourself could even get involved. Check out the full program available on the site for journalism and storytelling concerns and successes here in Australia.

Whether you’re a budding believer in the written word or you’re well seasoned like an 18-hour slow-cooked Hog’s Breath steak – and just like the meat you believe writing should be well done and done well – Storyology is holding itself out as an event for anyone and everyone to attend. So get yourself a ticket!

Storyology runs from December 1-4 at the Chauvel Cinema complex in Paddington, Sydney. Find out more at the official website.
