New Music: Introducing Stax Osset

If you’re digging on the likes of Grimes and Banoffee then you’ll probably want to check out Melbourne-based Anthropology student and 90s baby Stax Osset, otherwise known as Megan Kent.

Her self-produced debut single, Symmetry, draws inspiration equally from childhood nostalgia (The NeverEnding Story featured heavily) and a fascination with the universal human experience (love, loss, happiness and despair), all wrapped up in dreamy electronic otherworldliness.

Symmetry represents the Australian electronic producer and vocalist’s first proper release, after a trail of demos online had previously turned heads. She has also made a guest appearance on Allday’s debut Startup Cult via the interlude Milligrams, which the Melbourne rapper recently fleshed out into a full song due to popular demand.

Stax Osset has got a couple of gigs coming up in her hood soon. You can see the dates and check out/download her brilliant new single below.
