BBC First British Film Festival ticket giveaway!

The BBC First British Film Festival is heading back to Australia, showcasing the best and brightest films from the British Isles, and we’re excited to be giving away five double passes. If you want the chance to win tickets to a session of your choice, then read on…

Featuring 31 titles, the festival will take place across the country, showcasing the magic, unique humour, romance and traditions of British culture.

One of our hot tips is 45 Years, a powerful study of relationships, starring Charlotte Rampling and Tom Courtenay as a married couple thrown into turmoil after receiving life-changing news related to an incident that occurred fifty years ago.

Another must see is Suffragette, an intense drama tracking the fight for women’s voting rights, starring a powerful ensemble cast including Carey Mulligan, Helena Bonham Carter and Meryl Streep. And we’re keen to see the new one from Werner Herzog, Queen of the Dessert, starring ol’ matey from Homeland. Kill Your Friends, in which a young record label rep (Nicholas Hoult) does whatever it takes to get ahead in his cutthroat industry, is something we’re looking forward to as well.

And how about a trip down memory lane? You can catch My Beautiful Laundrette (1985) and Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994) amongst other classics. There are heaps of other great movies to check out too. You can see the full programme here and buy yourself some tickets here.

SORRY ALL, THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED. Keep up to date with other giveaways at our facebook page.
