Here’s something exciting for your diary! Sydney Collage Society has today announced a group exhibition of new works featuring six of the society’s artists: Danilo Brandao, Nikolaus Dolman, LA EARLY, Chelsea Tuesday, Kubi Vasak and Katie Yurk.

It’s called Cut It Out! and it will run from December 11th to the 17th at Lowroad Garage in Paddington, Sydney. The opening reception takes place on Friday, December 11th from 6-9pm, with booze supplied by the good folk at Sailor Jerry and the tunes provided by DJ sets from the excellent Black Zeros & NOIRE.

What is the Sydney Collage Society? Well, made up of a diverse group of artists, it represents the many different styles and forms that collage can take. The artists set out to question the traditional definition of high art through decontextualising and reappropriating found images to create entirely modern and at times, fantastical pieces.

Celebrating the end of their first year, Sydney Collage Society’s exhibition will display heaps of new works and, if you head along to the opening night, you can have a chat to the artists.
