Hey London, MPG’s Q-Time is back!

Attention all budding music producers, there is an event next week in London that you are going to want to get yourself along to. Yup, it’s been a while, but the MPG’s high-profile event, Q-Time, returns once again on April 27th, in a new venue.

What’s Q-Time? Well, imagine if Question Time was specifically about the music industry and topics which affect the lives and careers of producers, artists, managers and record company executives. Now imagine if Question Time wasn’t panelled by pompous politicians desperately seeking applause, but rather a brilliant collection of music industry folk who are happy to share their knowledge. Sound good? Of course it does.

The event is put on by the Music Producers Guild and the night will be chaired by 6Music presenter, Tom Robinson. The panel includes producer & artist Rupert Hine (Stevie Nicks, Tina Turner, Underworld), amazing  musician Ed Harcourt (pictured, top), Vick Bain (Transgressive Records) and Tim Dellow producer and musician (Urchin Studios) and Tim Ingram (Laura Marling, Lianne Le Havas).

The panel will offer their opinions and comments on questions provided by the audience, who will also be encouraged to take part in the discussions. The event will be recorded and made available on the website for MPG Full Members.

You can send your questions in advance to mpg_q-time@mpg.org.uk

It all takes place at London’s legendary Water Rats in Kings Cross. Tickets are a snip at £10 and are selling like hot cakes, so get yours now before they all go.
