Video: Major Leagues, Endless Drain
Need a new record for your stereo whilst you’re cooking-up funky brownies on a lazy-as-hell afternoon? Played Crazy For You a few too many times? Well have a looksie at/listen to Major Leagues, an alternative to the band that has a great penchant for cats and weed. We like them and their new single, Endless Drain.
The track is fuzzy and melancholic, it’s lo-fi and surfy. It’s not a new and exciting sound, no, not at all, but it’s foolproof, a tried and tested musical accompaniment for lazy times and sun-drenched merriment.
If you’d like to catch Major Leagues live and happen to be in Australia, they’re supporting The Holidays and The Preatures, and have a few other bits and bobs lined-up for September and October, including Bigsound Live. Here are their single launch dates:
FRIDAY 16 AUGUST – BRIGHTON UP BAR, SYDNEY NSW
SATURDAY 17 AUGUST – UPSTAIRS BERESFORD, SYDNEY NSW
FRIDAY 30 AUGUST – THE ESPY FRONT BAR, MELBOURNE VIC
FRIDAY 30 AUGUST – THE WORKERS CLUB, MELBOURNE VIC
