Music video: Silver Swans, Sea of Love

We receive a lot of music videos featuring cookie-cutter indie bands – all floppy-fringed, pasty of face and sounding exactly the same. Our hearts don’t exactly skip a beat with excitement at the latest four-piece offering guitar-based indie and a video of them standing in a room and playing their instruments (great concept guys).

So receiving an email from Silver Swans was a breath of fresh air. It contained the latest single from the San Francisco-based electro project and also the new video clip which vocalist Ann Yu described as being “shot in my bedroom with a couple of close lady friends.” Suffice to say, we were interested. Upon clicking play we were happy to discover electronic dream pop with a pleasing 80s tinge.
