‘Raw’ A&R Records Indie Song Comp
Always keen to discover the brightest new talent, The A&R Department are on the lookout for fresh Australian musical meat. They’re running a musical competition for unsigned indie acts to get their time in the spotlight. The agency is currently responsible for Harts, Major Tom, Battleships, Twin Lakes and many more acts that are sure to sneak their way into your iTunes in the future.
The ‘Raw’ competition boasts a pretty sick opportunity for an act to have their track released and played on airways in Australia and internationally. Winners will be selected by number of votes they yield online, as well as by guest music critics. The A&R Department will work with the act to assist in getting the track onto the radio, they’re also throwing in an opportunity to show off your live performance skills at Something You Said’s spiritual home, Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory.
To be in it with a chance of the glory of radio-play and motherly musical love from a great Australian agency, simply connect your SoundCloud profile to the A&R Department website, and upload your favourite track from your personal repertoire. After you’ve done that, bombard your Facebook feed and guilt all of your friends, family and acquaintances to vote for you. It’s a no brainer!
You’ve got from now until December 6th to get yourself clanging, bleeping, bashing and screeching your way to radio glory. Good luck. More details here.
