Music Playlist: Utrecht’s Stillwave
Utrecht – home of the Le Guess Who? festival somethingyousaid.com visited last month – left a lasting impression on us. So, to discover more about the music scene within this buzzing small city, we asked local outfit Stillwave to tell us about some of their favourite acts that make noise in the The Netherlands’ fourth biggest city:
If you visit the Netherlands, chances are you will find yourself in a sleazy hostel in Amsterdam. However, if you have some extra time to spend, consider visiting Utrecht. After a mere half-hour journey by train, you will be surrounded not by tourists but by actual Dutchies. More importantly, it’s a chance to discover the local music scene. We have seen some great releases in Utrecht this year which we would like to share with you. There’s alternative, rock, folk and much more to be heard. We love these songs, but you be the judge.
