BROODS Self-titled EP – Music Stream
If you have a spare twenty minutes then check the new EP from New Zealand brother/sister duo, BROODS.
A sound which relies heavily on its powerful female vocals and dreamy, repetitive synth backbeats? Sound familiar? Yup, admirers of fellow New Zealand-raised act Lorde will surely enjoy the music of Georgia and Caleb Nott, aka BROODS, who hope to follow in the musical footsteps the wild-haired young singer who is currently taking over the world with her tracks about royals and tennis courts. Indeed, the band have recently spent time with Joel Little, who worked as a producer on Lorde’s ridiculously successful, Grammy nominated Pure Heroine.
There is also a certain hint of Florence and the Machine, The xx and Bat for Lashes about the BROODS sound and, with over half-a-million listens to their track ‘Bridges’ online already, it seems the New Zealanders are already winning hearts all around the world.
