World Premiere: Home (Manila Killa remix)
We’re delighted to today be delivering the WORLD PREMIERE of the US-based artist Manila Killa’s remix of Home.
Aussie DJs and Producers Ivan Gough, Walden, Jebu and singer/songwriter Penelope Austin are the original artists behind Home, which you’ve no doubt already heard. First getting a spin on Pete Tong’s Radio 1 show towards the end of last year, the song is already a global club mega-anthem supported by the likes of David Guetta and Paul Oakenfold.
With the original tune still ripping up airplay charts in over 17 countries, we’re pretty bloody excited to now bring you this brand-spanking new indie/orchestral reworking of it from Manila Killa .
For the uninitiated, Manila Killa hails from the Philippines and now resides in Washington DC, having spent the last five years DJing pretty much everywhere in between. He has already remixed the likes of The xx, Of Monsters & Men, Beyonce, Lana Del Rey and Little Dragon and his Soundcloud has been visited by hundreds of thousands of international fans. Not bad, huh?
This re-imagining of Home presents the record in a different, softer light. Dreamy and holistic while remaining true to the driving synths of the original, we reckon it’s a winner. Have a listen, above.
