Getting to Know Wild Smiles
Winchester-based Wild Smiles tell us about their future prospects, about not appearing on Celebrity Big Brother and about living with their parents:
Wild Smiles started out recording in my shed. I put a couple of the tracks up online and then it was time to figure out how to do it live. With Joe and Ben it felt very natural to make it more of a real band rather than just a studio project!
Wild Smiles sound like a band that focus more on melodies and chords over riffs and noises. Melodic, fast and to-the-point.
Winchester is sleepy and you can’t walk five minutes without running into someone you know, which I love and hate at the same time.
But we’d rather not be living with our parents.
In a dream world we’d be touring with The Pixies, Foo Fighters or The Strokes just so we could watch them every night!
‘Fool for You’ is is a song that sounds like it could fall apart at any moment.
In the future Wild Smiles will be still making records, headlining festivals and not on Celebrity Big Brother!
