Music: Collarbones – Turning
I recently caught somethingyousaid.com favourites Collarbones playing with Synergy Percussion, for the sake of not repeating myself you can read all about it here. I mention that evening as that night I kind of fell for leading man, Marcus Whale, for his ability to both body-pop and belt out complicated scales of sensual lyrics while being backed by atmospheric electro created by the other half of Collarbones, the comparatively more stationary, Travis Cook – the duo making the room bot melt and swoon simultaneously.
The outfit’s previous EP that was featured at that recent performance, Atlantis 2014 touched lightly, caressed with soft electronic waves. Preemptive to Turning, a track that belts, shoves, embraces. The song is a club banger – with heart and soul and the LP that it shall be pulled from, Return, has great promise as a post-party make-out soundtrack.
Return the LP is due out soon on Remote Control / Two Bright Lakes.
