Check this super rare Early Clover tune!

Right, prepare your ears for the best sound you’re gonna hear this week. And this ain’t no auto-tuned, modern-day affairs either. Record Kicks proudly presents an incredibly hard to find and super hot deep funk & x-over soul pearl from Early Clover & The Georgia Soul Drifters, originally released back in 1977.

“Freedom” (and b-side “Think it Over”) were originally released on a super scarce 45 by legendary northern soul label Dove Records. The original 45 is simply impossible to find and currently is a super in-demand spin on both rare soul and funk dancefloors.

Born in 1953 in Dublin Georgia, Early Clover formed his band at the age of 16 and later went on to become the opening act for some of the hottest names in the south of USA, such as Betty Wright, The Temptations, The Marvellettes and Tyrone Davis. Currently relocated in Las Vegas, Early Clover is still very active.

The record is released on November 10th and is available to pre-order now at Bandcamp, digitally and on vinyl. This is a strictly limited to 600 copies 45 so don’t sleep on it… essential spin!
