Preview: Listen Out is back for 2015

Listen Out

Listen up Australia! The ever-excellent Listen Out festival is coming, and since the full line-up announcement in June we’ve been counting down the days until we can don our festival best and get our dance on.

In 2013, Listen Out was born to replace Parklife, and has housed some serious talent on their stages, including Disclosure, Azalea Banks, Duke Dumont, Rüfüs, Flume and Chet Faker.

Second release tickets are available through the Listen Out website, and with that in mind, here’s the artists you should almost definitely check out:

CHILDISH GAMBINO

You’ll have to wait right until the end of the night, but this headline act will fulfil all your rap dreams. His mix of rap and singing is second to none, featuring a kind of twisted romantic vibe. Don’t be surprised if he takes off his shirt and jumps so quickly all over the stage that he’ll leave your eyes sore.

SBTRKT

This Brit’s tunes are an interesting mix of indie pop and electronica, and he’s known for his epic remixes across all genres. Catch this DJ with his traditional native mask playing some deep, sensory sounds and hopefully some live instrumentals.

GOLDEN FEATURES

Exploding onto the scene last year with his track ‘Tell Me’ featuring Nicole Millar, the golden masked anomaly (masked DJs must be the theme this year) is making waves yet again with a brand new killer EP, XXIV. Be prepared to dance, and to have these songs stuck in your head.

ALISON WONDERLAND

Following the release of her first longplayer ‘Run’, earlier this year you’ll be raving along to this super babe’s bangers. See her explode the speakers with her banging DJ set.

B WISE

The Sydney Triple-J Unearthed winner will certainly heat up the stage with his hip hop vibes. His lyrics emulate a proud, cultural theme which will give you a fresh look into Australian hip hop.

Of course, there’s a bunch more incredible acts headed our way so for more information and ticket info, visit the Listen Out website here: listenout.com.au
