Premiere: SONIK – Predator ft. Emmanuel Derecho

Today we are excited to premiere the brand new video clip from Sydney duo, David Gugliotta and Daniel Diaz, otherwise known as SONIK.

In case you aren’t aware of SONIK, here is the history lesson. Having produced and written with some of
Australia’s finest upcoming artists, including Carley Austin, Emma Mylott, Polarheart, TIA and Luke
Zancanarro, the chaps from Studio Sonik spent the last year or so creating their own tracks. You can expect to hear plenty of collaborations between the pair and the talent they have had the opportunity to work with, including this beauty, Predator.

The song is a tasty serving of electronic pop, showcasing the previously unknown talent of Emmanuel Derecho from Western Sydney. “We wanted to create something that we were really happy with and proud of,” David told us. “There is so much amazing talent out in the Hills District of Sydney and we have been lucky enough to tap into this”.

Predator has been lifted from SONIK’s upcoming EP. “The song’s lyrics explore a man so infatuated with a
woman, he becomes oblivious to how she corrupts, torments and drains his life both emotionally and physically,” Daniel explains.

The track is a suitable teaser for the EP, which is set to drop in 2016 and jumps between Electronic, Deep House, Downtempo and Trap, all with an indie flavour.

Meanwhile, Predator (ft. Emmanuel Derecho) will be released 30th October 2015
