Video Premiere: CuzN – Ordinary People
Today, we’re excitedly premiering the new video from CuzN, a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who hails from the South of England and who is now based in Sydney.
The video features a number of locations that will be familiar to Sydneysiders, including the Devonshire Street tunnel that we’ve all walked through a million times. “The video was all shot in one day in Sydney, with the intention of getting as many people from all walks of life involved holding up lyrics to the song, “CuzN told us. “We wanted the video to be as fun to watch as it was to make, and to have it incorporate a ‘making of’ feel throughout. We had an awesome time meeting strangers in Sydney that day.”
And as for the song itself, he explains; “I wrote this song in about 20 minutes! It’s a piece of self-deprecating satire originally intended to just be a bit of fun, which by the end of the song turns into an epic battle cry! My writing was becoming a bit serious, so this was a release from all that.”
The songwriter has released two EPs: London Pride EP (2014), Little Victories (2015) and has supported the likes of Andy Rourke, Primal Scream and The Horrors.
“Ordinary People” by CuzN is available now on iTunes. Keep up to date with CuzN on his website.
