Getting to Know Kita Alexander

Australian singer/songwriter Kita Alexander is currently touring her homeland in support of her new release “Like You Want To”. We believe she has huge things ahead of her, so we asked her to tell us more about herself:

I am… a giraffe with sad eyes and long hair. No but really I’m a 19-and-three-quarters-old singer songwriter from Port Macquarie.

“Like You Want To” is… however you want to think it is. A bit of this a bit of that. Whatever you feel! A feel-good song? A lyrically meaningful composition as deep as the sea.

My current tour is… supporting Jarryd James and Meg Mac on their run around Aus.

I’m currently listening to… Crepes… triple j just played their tune called “Cold Summers” and it is so vibey.

Home is… wherever I feel comfortable. Mainly on an avocado farm.

Aside from music, I… surf and paint sea turtles.

It might surprise people to learn that… This is a tricky one, because I’m an open book. I’ll tell you if you have parsley wrapped around your front teeth.

In 2016, I’m going to… Get some chickens and eat my own eggs.

Kita’s first UK live show has been announced for 2016. She’ll play on February 3 @ New Shapes, Notting Hill Arts Club, London.
