My 2015, My 2016 by Lauren Engël
With 2015 just a memory as we excitedly welcome another year, we thought we’d ask some of our all-time favourite people to tell us about their highlights/lowlights from the last 12 months and their hopes for 2016. Here’s photographer and occasional contributor to this very site, Lauren Engël (that’s her pictured, above, while a small selection of her work is featured below):
2015 was the highlight of my photography career so far.
My highlight was becoming an editor for C-Heads Magazine and doing shoots with models/muses/bloggers/musicians who I have been admiring for years.
My lowlight was having my family and bf far away from me while I was in Sydney/NYC 🙁
In 2015, I was watching my friends and people I look up to becoming better and better at their skills – it motivates me!
And I was listening to more silence, which is golden.
2016 will be graduating college, hopefully being back in NYC or moving to LA.
I’m most looking forward to traveling after graduation, doing more shoots with people with a footprint in the world.
In 2016, I want to refine my photography style and style of editing, figure out my full-time job/career, keep improving myself.
By this time next year, I hope to learn to drive and think about moving to LA!
