Photos: Dreamland at Sydney Festival
The Magic Mirrors Spiegeltent was undoubtedly the place to be last weekend, when Saturday turned unapologetically into Sunday, as a plethora of local heroes combined to deliver one of the standout shows of Sydney Festival.
Dreamland saw a Sydney supergroup come together to thrill a sold-out crowd. Featuring Jack Ladder’s unmistakable croon, Donny Benét’s Italo street funk, Kirin J Callinan’s pedaltastic experimental guitar noise and PVT drummer Laurence Pike’s rhythmical wizardry, the band exchanged the limelight, playing on each other’s tunes and collaborating magnificently. It was a riotous, fun night.
We sent photographer Phil Erbacher along to capture the awesomeness. Click on the below pictures to enlarge and check out heaps more photos from the show on our Facebook page.
