Upcoming Exhibition: Colour vs The Void
Heads-up art lovers, because our old chum Ariel Sexton-Shaw, perhaps known to you as LoveAriel, is set to host a pretty ambitious exhibition in Sydney this July.
The Colour vs The Void exhibition will be a joint show of past and current stuff which will include over 20 unseen works from her 2009 London residency and over 20 current and expansive psychedelic works. There will also be sculpture and silk prints, along with live music at the afterparty. If that’s not enough to entice you then, like all good art shows, there’ll be some free booze courtesy of the good folk at Young Henrys and Sailor Jerry.
The whole thing will be going down at TheShadowLodge, Ariel’s studio in Hibernian House. What’s Hibernian House? Well, it’s the famous/infamous creative hub of Sydney. A big old graffiti-covered green building close to Central Station where artists, musicians, designers, writers etc do their thing. Indeed, it used to be our headquarters, back in the day.
Anyhoo, the whole shindig takes place between 6pm and 9pm on Friday 8th July, so stick it in your diary.
