Interview: Getting to know Nussy
Nussy has just dropped her lustrous new single, Hard As Diamonds, and is set to play some live dates soon. We asked her to tell us about herself:
I am… NUSSY – a pint-sized ball of sparkles and fluff.
‘Hard as Diamonds’ is… my latest release. I’ve been sitting on this one for a little while so I’m very excited to have it out in the world! Like my 2016 releases, ‘Hard as Diamonds’ continues down that real 80s inspired electronic vibe – lots of sparkly synths with an edge of darkness. Unlike my most recent releases however, it’s much more upbeat so it’s really great to have something a little different to show people.
My upcoming tour will be… anything but dull! I like to bring as much glitter and fun to my live show as I can. My band are incredibly talented so we have a lot of fun on stage and I’m super lucky to have them on my team. They are also just awesome dudes which makes time on the road that much better.
Home is… Melbourne, Australia. I may be biased but in my mind, it’s one of the best cities on this planet – great food, great drink and most of all, great music.
I spend too much time… taking videos of my dog – he’s just too cuteeee!
It might surprise people to learn that… I’m actually a fairy alien from outer-space.
In the future… I’m famous throughout the universe. My biggest wish is to be making music that people love until my fairy wings can’t fly anymore!
