Photos: The Avalanches in Sydney for Vivid LIVE

The Avalanches brought their hybrid of (if you’ll pardon the pun) vivid electronic and revolutionary energy to the tip of Bennelong Point last week for a kickass outdoor block party with mates DJ Shadow, Briggs and Sampa the Great.

The Melbourne band played tunes from their massive studio LP Since I Left You and hugely acclaimed return, Wildflower as part of the excellent Vivid LIVE programme. The party took place at the Opera House’s Northern Broadwalk site, which is quite the location for a shindig and, as you can imagine, it went off.
